David S. Wan, D.D.S., M.S. (Owner)

Dr. David S. Wan grew up in Houston, Texas. He attended the University of Texas in Austin where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and a minor in Chemistry.  He matriculated into the University of Texas Houston Dental Branch and graduated in the top of his class.  He continued his education at UTDB and was awarded his specialty certificate in Endodontics and a Masters in Science.

Dr. Wan had received extensive specialty training in diagnosis, root canal treatment, and microsurgery.  He utilizes cutting-edge technologies and advanced techniques in root canal therapy.  His armamentarium includes the use of the surgical microscope, rotary instrumentation, ultrasonics and thermoplasticized obturation.

Dr. Wan understands patients' anxiety associated with root canal therapy.  He has extensive training in conscious sedation to help provide a comfortable experience for his patients.

Dr. Wan is an active member of the American Association of Endodontists, American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, and the Greater Houston Dental Society.  He is also a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon.

Dr. Wan enjoys mountain biking and spending quality time with friends and family.

      James C. Lin, D.D.S.

Dr. James C. Lin earned his dental degree from Taipei Medical University, in Taiwan. During his training at the dental school at TMU, he participated in an one year exchange program in Hiroshima University, Japan. In Japan, he furthered his prosthetic and pediatric dentistry training. Upon graduation, Dr. Lin joined the Naval Aviation Command and served as an dental officer for one year. Dr. Lin then went back to the hospital at Taipei Medical University. During that year, he completed his General Practice Residency. After the GPR program, Dr. Lin practiced general dentistry where he developed his interest for root canal treatments. Dr. Lin loves how endodontic treatments it able to get patients out of pain in a more conservative way rather extracting the tooth which is more destructive. Because of his conservative views, Dr. Lin decided to choose Endodontics as his lifelong path and joined the Endodontic Specialty Program at the prestigious Columbia University in New York City. Twice, Dr. Lin won the Excellence Presentation Residence Award at the AAE (American Association of Endodontic) meetings in Hawaii and Washington D.C. After finishing his residency program at Columbia University, Dr. Lin joined Contemporary Endodontics. 

In his free time, Dr. Lin enjoys playing the acoustic guitar. He has been playing this percussion instrument for over 14 years. He also enjoys hiking, reading and spending time with his family and friends. Dr. Lin is also an avid traveler. His travels include flying to Taiwan, Japan, France, Singapore, Hong Kong and all over the United States.

Dr. Lin is a proud member of the American Association of Endodontists, American Dental Association, Greater Houston Dental Society, Texas Dental Society, and New York State Dental Association.


    Parastou R. Terrany, D.D.S., M.S.D.

Dr. Rouhani-Terrany was matriculated from the European school system and received her dental degree in 1997 from University Rene Descartes in Paris, France.  She earned high honors for her D.D.S. thesis on The Syndrome of Lyell and Associated Oral Symptom.  After completing her D.D.S. degree, Dr. Rouhani practiced general dentistry while actively pursued continuing education to provide excellence in dentistry.  During that period, she developed a keen interest in endodontic therapy, which led her to pursue a post-graduate degree in Endodontics.  She completed her residency, certification, and Master of Science degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, Dental Branch in 2011, with main interest in pulp regeneration.

Dr. Rouhani has been practicing endodontics since 2011 and is an active member of the American Association of Endodontists (AAE), the Houston Academy of Endodontists the American Dental Association (ADA), the Texas Dental Association, and the Greater Houston Dental Society. Her passion and priority are to provide the highest quality in comprehensive care for the patient, both professionally and on an interpersonal level.

Dr. Rouhani is married to Adrien Terrany, a project manager in oil and gas construction. She and her husband has two young children. Her personal interests include traveling, swimming, painting, and spending time with her family and friends.

     Lisa C. Selem, D.D.S.

Dr. Lisa Selem originates from Atlanta, Georgia. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Psychology at the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia and graduated Summa Cum Laude. Dr. Selem attended the University of Maryland Baltimore College of Dental Surgery where she received a Doctorate of Dental Surgery and graduated with honors. She then practiced general dentistry for 2 years in the Atlanta area but ultimately decided that Endodontics was her calling. Dr. Selem completed her specialty training in Endodontics from Georgia Regents University in Augusta, GA where she was honored with the Resident of the Year Award. Her research on endodontic filling materials has been published in both the Journal of Endodontics as well as the Journal of Dentistry and she serves on the Scientific Advisory Board for the Journal of Endodontics.

Dr. Selem is an active member of the American Dental Association, the American Association of Endodontics, the Texas Dental Association, and the Greater Houston Dental Society. Dr. Selem is dedicated to providing the highest quality endodontic treatment while focusing on alleviating her patients’ pain and fear. 

She is pleased to have made Houston her home along with her husband, Alex, and their two dogs, Emmy and Hudson. She enjoys cycling, running, cooking, movies, and spending quality time with friends and family.

    H. Candice Yang, D.D.S., D.Sc. 


Dr. H. Candice Yang earned her dental degree from Taipei Medical University at Taiwan and then completed a one-year hospital based general practice residency at Cardinal Tien Hospital in New Taipei City. After the GPR program, she stayed in Taipei where she practiced as a general dentist before she enrolled in the Post-graduate Endodontic program at Boston University.

During her post-graduate Endodontic program in BU, Dr. Yang obtained extensive training in both research and clinical aspects and published several articles regarding pulp stem cells and metastasis mechanism of oral cancer.

She is an active member of the American Association of Endodontists and America Dental Association. In 2015, she moved to Houston with her husband who is an assistant professor at Periodontics department in UT dental school. During her free time, she enjoys reading, baking, travelling, and spending time with her friends and family.


    Jason E. Koh, D.D.S., M.S.

Dr. Jason E. Koh, a native born Houstonian, earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Howard University College of Dentistry in Washington D.C. After graduation, Dr. Koh furthered his dental training in the AEGD (Advanced Education in General Dentistry) program at the University of Texas Health Science Center School of Dentistry in Houston where he emphasized his training in cosmetic dentistry. After completing the AEGD program, he became a faculty professor at the University of Texas Health Science Center School of Dentistry (Houston) in the Department of General Practice and Dental Public Health. While teaching at the dental undergraduate department, Dr. Koh also practiced full-time in family practice. During that time, Dr. Koh decided to pursue his passion in Endodontics and entered the Postgraduate Program of Endodontics at University of Texas School of Dentistry and receiving a Master of Science Dentistry Degree and a Certificate in Endodontics. 


In his free time, Dr. Koh enjoys spending time with his wife, Iya; and two puppies, Kirby and Kylo. He loves to travel when possible and tinkering with DIY projects at home.
